Tried for several years to find death of GGGrandfather, He died before last son was born Feb 1855, so before it was law in Scotland to register a death, he was born 1823, his wife was Ann Marshall, they lived in Currie, Balerno, Midlothian. rumor from abroad was that he drowned, but no evidence of this is found.
